Case Study

Weiterbildung eines Redakteurs im Mediensprechen

Initial situation

Leila is an aspiring actress who has just completed her acting training. She has already played a few small roles in theater productions and is now ready to dive into the world of film and television. Leila has big ambitions and wants to prepare for auditions for bigger roles to further her career. She contacted me for support in developing her acting techniques and preparing for upcoming auditions.

Goals of the coaching:

Leila had clear goals for our coaching:

improving her acting techniques

she wanted to refine her acting skills and learn new techniques to become more versatile in her roles.

preparing for auditions:

Leila wanted to prepare specifically for upcoming auditions and learn how to present her personality and talent in the best light.

role preparation for film and television:

She needed support in analyzing and interpreting scripts in order to portray her roles authentically and in depth.

My recommendation:

To get started, I recommend the basic coaching package of 12 individual sessions (60 min), which are arranged every two weeks. This gives you the opportunity to practise in the meantime. Further individual lessons can then be booked for the preparation of specific castings or shoots.

Coaching can take place on-site at the Vocal Acting Studio in Munich or online.

It is also possible to conduct the coaching in English.

I would be happy to provide you with an individual offer that optimally reflects your personal wishes.

Methodology

analysis and acting techniques

We began with a comprehensive analysis of Leila's previous roles and her acting technique. We identified her strengths and areas where she could develop further.
Over the course of the sessions, we worked on different acting methods, such as the Stanisławskij method and Meisner technique, to expand her repertoire.

These techniques helped Leila to dive deep into the emotions of her characters and deliver authentic, believable performances.

casting preparation:

For the auditions, we simulated different scenarios in which Leila had to react spontaneously to different instructions, similar to what happens in a real audition. Leila learned how to turn her nervousness into positive energy and how to appear confident in front of casting directors.

role preparation for film and television:

Together we analyzed casting scenes and scripts and developed detailed character work. Leila learned how to interpret and portray her roles on different levels to meet the requirements of film and television.
We rehearsed specific scenes to ensure Leila mastered both the technical aspects of camera work and the emotional depth of her characters.

Results

After several intensive coaching sessions, Leila felt much more confident in her role creation. She developed a deeper connection to the characters she played and was able to authentically convey these emotions in front of the camera. Her newly acquired techniques and the targeted casting training meant that Leila was successful at several auditions and landed her first major role in a TV series.

Conclusion

Leila is now well equipped to further develop her acting career and has gained the confidence to approach each new role with professionalism and creativity.
